Technical

The technical application of CGI is a diverse category of content that tends to be more scientific
in nature.  Though such work can indeed be artistic, the demands of technical CGI usually
require content be far less abstract in design; and any virtual depiction of common attributes (such as scale, dimension and time) must typically be precise.  Some of the more common applications include architectural environments (internal and external), medical advancement, and forensic re-enactments for legalistic purposes.  Using CGI to
simulate reality and events precisely helps these industries imagine new products, solve problems and develop new techniques within their respective disciplines.  For a more common example of technical CGI, please have a look at “Harris Mobile” featured on my animation favorites page found here.
